Jakarta Dept. of Transportation prepares 300 personnel to guard Car Free Night on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman and Jalan MH Thamrin. The event is held to enliven New Year’s eve.

Our personnel will be supported by police personnel

Andri Yansyah, agency’s head, said the two roads will be closed during Car Free Night. 300 personnel will be deployed to arrange the traffic.

“Our personnel will be supported by police personnel,” he said, Monday (12/26).

He added that the road closure will be applied at 5 PM in stages. Total closure is at 6 PM.

“The road will be opened again at 2 AM,” he added.

According to him, the system is similar with car free day traffic diversion. There will be no car free day in the morning.

His side tries to operate Transjakarta bus as usual during New Year’s eve.

“Transjakarta must operate as usual,” he closed.
